I just noticed that the limit for the free version of the Copernic Desktop Search is actually 25.000 files (see Copernic Search Soultion Comparaison) and not 10.000 files anymore.

Kvasir - Norwegian search engine

[edit]

Consider adding the Norwegian search engine Kvasir to the list, it's fairly unique as (according to this Norwegian Wikipedia entry) there are only four other countries that have search engine specialised for local results as Kvasir does.

The Norweigian wiki would seem to be wrong. There are more such engines already on our list. At any rate, this is a list of engines with preexisting English Wikipedia articles. MrOllie (talk) 20:55, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Kvasir seems to only point to a google CSE form, they don't have their own index. 4luul4 (talk) 13:44, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please add the search engine 4get.ca. It's a metasearch engine comparable to Searx that's been running for a few years. 4luul4 (talk) 13:48, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

BestInternetSearch.com should be added to the list

[edit]

Because of censorship, Google monopolistic practices, etc. I offer the search engine from BestInternetSearch.com Inc. 208.58.97.65 (talk) 21:20, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Gabanza.com is a candidate for this list. A full fledged search engine with own index

[edit]

Please add Gabanza, https://www.gabanza.com/ to the list. This is a full fledged search engine with 1 billion urls and growing.

It is a registered trademark in the US with search engine as its listed goods and service. https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=98205255&caseSearchType=US_APPLICATION&caseType=DEFAULT&searchType=statusSearch

It has its own index, does its own crawling and maintains its own results. You will find many pages in it from Wikipedia as well. Here is an example, https://www.gabanza.com/search?query=lexington+massachusetts

It covers the global internet. The office or place of business is the United States. Faridiadnan (talk) 01:57, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think I need to Write the article first. I did not know and am doing it. Faridiadnan (talk) 02:29, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

SearchThis - Search Engine

[edit]

SearchThis is a Swiss search engine with its own index and web crawlers. We index around 250,000 new websites per day.

SearchThis has a text and image search. We are also one of the few search engines with a category catalog. We offer companies the opportunity to submit their homepage.

Our web search engine is also interesting for service providers who submit websites, as homepages can also be submitted to us for indexing.

With a free profile for your external view or your catchment area, you can attract visitors who find your business in the SearchThis search as customers. Personalize your profile with photos, opening hours and more. SearchThis is a very comprehensive web search engine and offers businesses some alternative ways to be found even better on the internet. https://www.searchthis.ch

Please can someone adding our url to this list? Or tell us, wat is additional needed? Thanks, Rene ReneFu (talk) 13:06, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is a list of search engines with preexisting Wikipedia articles. It is not a place to advertise your search engine. MrOllie (talk) 13:10, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
