"John's final tour, Farewell Yellow Brick Road (2018–2023), became the highest-grossing concert tour of all time."

[edit]

It has since been surpassed by Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. Needs updating. 209.93.242.250 (talk) 21:50, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Photo change

[edit]

can the photo be changed, the current one just looks a bit awkward and unnatural. I think this one feels a bit more natural. Mewhen123 (talk) 19:56, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The 2023 Glastonbury photo was used in the infobox a while back, as was the 2024 Gershwin Prize photo. I'm not too bothered about which one to use, but there should be a consensus.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 13:20, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Eyesight

[edit]

Where is the best location for this? I added it as a separate topic, not realising it was already present in the "Other" sub-section of "Personal life". I think it's a bit hidden there. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:20, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Should this be mentioned in the lead section? Martinevans123 (talk) 22:03, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think a light mention in the lead and then a detailed section in the body is fine. - FlightTime (open channel) 22:36, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Or instead of a section, it can go in personal life section. - FlightTime (open channel) 22:41, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Martinevans123 Sources say he's healing and "there's hope", so it could be only temporary and not a significant event worth mentioning in the lead. He's 77, health issues that become protracted aren't unusual. I'd say it's only worth a mention if it turns out to be permanent. Escape Orbit (Talk) 22:48, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's not suitable for the lead because it has some problems with WP:NOTNEWS. It's ok later on in the article.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 08:04, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I'll try to keep an eye on it. Martinevans123 (talk) 08:10, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Some might argue that the 2024 premiere of the musical "The Devil Wears Prada", at the Dominion Theatre in London, is quite a public venue to announce that one has lost one's vision? But I guess "that's showbiz", folks! Martinevans123 (talk) 19:18, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
