Trivia
[edit]In the protest song Fast Cars from 1977 the english punk band Buzzcocks sings „Sooner or later you're gonna listen to Ralph Nader". Copyflow (talk) 05:41, 7 May 2023 (UTC)
- Also, Nader is mentioned in Greg Bear's science fiction books, Eon and Eternity, as having inspired the "Naderites" who oppose much of the technology in their high-technology society. Whether Bear intends this to honor Nader or as some form of irony is not at all clear. Wastrel Way (talk) 13:44, 29 January 2024 (UTC) Eric Wastrel Way (talk) 20:19, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

Hi there @Thriley: I am willing to review this article, however I am not going to do a full review until the multiple uncited paragraphs are properly cited. I think there's enough meat here that I am not quickfailing, but if these missing citations are not addressed in 7 days' time, I will be failing unless the nominator commits to working on them but asks for a bit more time (1996, 2000, 2004 campaigns, periodicals, and television all have uncited paragraphs or parts of paragraphs, and two citation needed tags remain present in the article). Trainsandotherthings (talk) 03:09, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I’ll be working on the article over the coming week. Best, Thriley (talk) 04:50, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
- It has been nine days without improvement. I'm willing to give you until the end of the weekend, and at that point I will have to fail if the missing citations have not been resolved. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 22:04, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
- Working on it right now. Sorry for the delay! Thriley (talk) 21:34, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
- It has been close to a month and I still count 7 citation needed templates. Regretfully it is time to fail this nomination. It can be re-nominated once the missing citations have been fully addressed. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 19:59, 29 July 2023 (UTC)

Add a Controversies Page
[edit]Ralph Nader became a far more controversial figure from the 1970s onwards, and it wasn't just his presidential campaigns either.
I will be general here and go into more detail if I get feedback from an Admin interested in getting more into the controversies I will list.
1. In the 1982 Connecticut aenate election, he endorsed the Republican candidate Lowell Weicker against a former family friend in Democratic former Congressman Moffet, and Moffer blamed Nader for tipping the balance out of spite over a disagreement on a bill.
2. Allegations that despite how much money he and his organizations had made, he often paid low wages and was incredibly vindictive towards anyone who left because they could not afford to work for him anymore.
3. He has been said, by many associates ex-employees, and their families, to have been been very indicative, underhanded in regards to the operations and management of his agencies and charities.
Here is a quick secondary Source on his Controversies.
