hazaras are genetically related to uzbeks, uyghurs, and other turkic (and mongolic) people. although they don't speak a turkic language in the modern age, I believe it would still be reasonable to include hazaras in the list of turkic ethnic groups, if not in the main list then at least their own subsection with a short explanation regarding their genetic relation. 84.54.71.154 (talk) 13:06, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Need to add a word to an article - Article name: Turkic Peoples; Error location: Section: History; Subsection: Origins; 5th paragraph; 2nd sentence; Correction: add the word "report" after "A 2022" to make "A 2022 report suggested that..." Goman1 (talk) 22:19, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello dear Ms./Mr.,
In the following, there is an assertion that is not true and not even given reference to, which is a bit problematic o share misinformation about a race:
"Genetic data found that almost all modern Turkic peoples retained at least some shared ancestry associated with populations in "South Siberia and Mongolia" (SSM), supporting this region as the "Inner Asian Homeland (IAH) of the pioneer carriers of Turkic languages" which subsequently expanded into Central Asia."
I would like you to direct me in deleting this wrong content that does not even bother about giving reference.
Not done: A laymen's reading of source 114 ([1]), which appears at the end of the paragraph with your quoted text, appears to validate the information you claim is untrue. If you believe the source is inaccurate, you'll need to start a consensus discussion on this talk page arguing why you believe the source is unreliable for this information. —Sirdog(talk) 06:01, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
