I would suggest adding "do" to the end of the second sentence in the third introductory paragraph, i.e. change "Major areas of current research include determining why some large earthquakes do not generate tsunamis while other smaller ones" to "Major areas of current research include determining why some large earthquakes do not generate tsunamis while other smaller ones do." Thank you! RaamanRayman (talk) 13:22, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am a student at Kadir Has University, Istanbul. I wrote an article that talks about ways to raise public awareness about tsunamis and would like to attach this article on your page. rest assured this article is in no way similar to the contents of your page. I have also provided my references too. I patiently await your reply and have a wonderful day. Spike130704 (talk) 11:00, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What is the pronunciation of TS?

[edit]

What is the pronunciation of TS in - tsunami, Irkutsk (Russian Иркутск), Donetsk (Russian Донецк) and in surnames like Krasnokutsky (or district Краснокутский район - of Krasny Kut city)? Mir.Nalezinski (talk) 12:15, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Mir.Nalezinski, Please refer to the WP:Reference Desk for these types of questions. ✶Mitch199811 17:15, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The first sentence of the article gives a pronunciation guide. Hovering your mouse pointer over the blue text should help. Looking at the Terminology section should also help. HiLo48 (talk) 23:04, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
