Red and Brown Lemonade
[edit]In Ireland and Northern Ireland there are two drinks, similar to the clear lemonade sold in the UK and Ireland, called "Red lemonade" and "Brown lemonade". Red lemonade has some additional flavourings which are consistent between brands and distinguish it from normal clear lemonade. Brown lemonade is flavoured with brown sugar which gives it a slightly different flavour and a brown tinge, is also sold by multiple companies in Northern Ireland, and is also consistent between brands as a distinct product from regular clear lemonade.
Both drinks are mentioned in the article on Irish cuisine, but they redirect to this page, which contains no information about either drink. Any edits I've tried to make to either of the original pages have been reverted and the pages re-redirected to this page which, again, does not contain a single mention of either. Sources, while extant, are difficult to come by in any quantity or quality given the limited scope of the products (Red lemonade only being available on the island of Ireland, and brown lemonade only being available in Northern Ireland). Both are utterly ubiquitous in their respective countries, to the same degree as cola. If it were an acceptable source, I could literally go across the road to any corner shop and take a picture of a bottle of brown lemonade beside a bottle of clear lemonade of the same brand, but of course I doubt that meets the standards of a citation.
At this point, after a few attempts to add any kind of reference to these drinks, I'm as a loss as to how information about them can be added to Wikipedia. They both definitely exist, they're both definitely distinct products from regular clear lemonade, and they probably ought to be referenced somewhere.
Any advice? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.2.32.198 (talk) 02:31, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- I've been wanting to do the same thing, but I'm struggling to find any good sources. It doesn't help that multiple manufacturers claim to be the originators. So much of the drink is shrouded in mystery and urban legend; the most famous probably being that it's banned outside of Ireland due to a colouring used in it. Untrue of course, but all this uncertainty makes adding a dedicated section very difficult.Willzonk (talk) 14:50, 25 July 2020 (UTC)

Cloudy Lemonade in the UK
[edit]In the UK, there is a form of lemonade called cloudy lemonade, from what I can tell, it seems to be a sort of hybrid between what the artical calls cloudy lemonade and clear lemonade, as it is carbonated. I think this should be mentioned in either the cloudy lemonade section or the clear lemonade section. JBoyd2007 (talk) 23:39, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
